A group of Georgian enthusiasts who have lived in the U.S. for several years came together driven by the initiative to organize the Georgian-American community in the San Francisco/Bay area. This "Initiative Group" estimates that there are few hundred Georgians living in the region.
The mission of the San Francisco Branch is to:
Preserve and promote Georgian culture and traditions in the Georgian-American community.
Serve as an information source for newcomers to the area and facilitate the adaptation process.
Increase general awareness and knowledge about Georgia and Georgian culture in the San Francisco/Bay area.
The San Francisco Branch strives to provide opportunities for Georgians and friends of Georgia to meet, learn about about one another other, and share their ideas and concerns.
If you are interested in getting involved or want more information about the San Francisco Branch, please e-mail SFinfo@georgianassociation.org
